Silk Smitha - Biography

She was known for her seductive looks after appearing in films like Moondru Mugam and Amaran. She played the role of a wife in Seethakoka Chilaka (1981) and one of her films, Layanam, was remade in Hindi as Reshma Ki Jawani.  Moondram Pirai which saw her in the lead role was also remade in Hindi as Sadma starring Sridevi in the lead role.

It is still unbelievable that she committed suicide. Silk smita is the only name in india that most film lovers know about and have been struggling to see her films like Spadikam and lot of others which atleast had her one item song.
